Open letter for the termination of Professor Jordan Peterson’s appointment at the University of Toronto

i’m sure many of you are familiar with jordan peterson, a professor at uoft who made the news a year ago for refusing to use transgender students’ correct pronouns
outside of teaching, peterson is known for making youtube videos and patreon content that spread his “anti-PC” message. these accounts are popular with neo-nazis
according to him, he’s also been working on an algorithm to weed out courses at uoft with what he calls “postmodern neomarxist” content (these classes are primarily in the fields of women and gender studies, racial and ethnic groups studies, and the humanities)
the link, which contains more information, is a petition to get him fired. anyone can sign it, anonymously if you want, and i hope you will. i was briefly in one of his psychology courses and i can tell you: he does not deserve his position and he does not belong at the university of toronto

He’s currently blasting a friend of mine (a woc) on Twitter about an essay criticizing the free speech campus movement and pointing to her student status to his 270k followers. Please please.
on top of acting as a lightning rod for neo nazis in toronto, as demonstrated by the above comment he & his followers often harass students, as well as doxxing and harassing people who have protested against him. he does all of this over twitter so the info gets spread really far and has lead to several people having to delete all of their social media. he’s been in the news for months and his announcement of this racist + sexist algorithm has been in the news for too long already for U of T to have not yet taken action. also i’d recommend downloading/screenshotting/whatever to save a copy of this open letter when you sign it, because i have seen documents about Peterson hosted on google docs get reported + deleted several times
